Duraiswamy Nadar founded a
Paint Industry in
collaboration with United
Paints, U.K., in the
late1950’s just after his
retirement from Government
Services. V.S.K.D. Nadar
also promoted trading houses
to deal in timber, paint and
industrial products.
His
brainchild – The Associated
Agents & Merchants –
commenced its operation in
Chennai in the year 1958 for
trading in Non-ferrous
Metals and Wire Ropes. From
1972 onwards it switched
over from this trade and
became the Authorized
Dealers of M/s.
Carborundum
Universal Limited (CUMI) -
the pioneering and leading
manufacturers of Bonded
Abrasives and Coated
Abrasives in India.
Over the
past 37 years, The
Associated Agents &
Merchants, have been
supplying CUMI’s Bonded &
Coated Abrasives besides
Metal Working Fluids to
thousands of its customers. |
